Barefoot wisdom

Slow down and see more.

Stop, be still, and you’ll see everything.

As we learn to do less, slowing down in our daily movements, to achieve less and be simple, we are slowing down. And then we start to notice and appreciate the simple beauty of life and the people around us.

To feel the warmth of the sun

The caress of the cool winds

The smile of the flowers

The connected feel of the tree bark.

If the stress of modern living is too overwhelming remember to take a break, take a walk along the beach bare foot and bask in the morning sun. Feel every grain of sand. Or stroll leisurely in the local park, with bare feet on the grass.

Walking very slowly, mindfully, feel everything tingle, every drop of water on the blades of the grass.

When we learn to have time out regularly in the day, then it’s easier to stop in meditation. There is wisdom in nature, in the grass and the wind; but we have to be so slow and still to see:

The answer is in the asking.
